Zoo Volunteer

Date: 10^th January 2010 (Sunday)

Time: 8.30am-1.00pm

Venue  : Zoo Negara, Ampang

Brief report:

            Leo Clubs of KDU PJ had invited us to volunteer together at the Zoo Negara. We were briefed accordingly to the group before we were allowed to enter the Zoo. Each group was designated to different spots on random. Mainly was to clean the animals’ habitat. Our group including Leo Clubs of KDU PJ and Leo Clubs of City West was in charge of emus. We were given necessary tools to clean up their poops, gathered all the poops into a trolley and led it to the quarantine zone.

            The instructor gave us one hour break. We walked our way to the nearest fast food restaurant to have our breakfast. We rushed back to receive second instruction after the meal. Next task was to clear all the branches and leaves that were visible on the road. Finally, we carried the plastic bags filled with trashes in the trolleys as a sign of accomplishment .
